Buy Swedish Fish

// January 19th, 2008 // 4 Comments » // Candy Addiction

swedish fishI vote that every one try Swedish Fish! Although, all of my friends and family that have tried Swedish fish from my “referral” have told me that they are bland and have no taste. I find that to be the opposite. Granted the red swedish fish which are the original swedish fish flavor, I think that most of them have the same flavors.

However, the new Grape Swedish Fish have a little bit more tang than the original fish. The new bags (AguaLife Swedish Fish) have assorted fish contain green, red, yellow, orange, blue, and purple. I love them and usually buy a big bag of the small fish as the bigger original kind of stick to my teeth too much. I prefer the smaller fish these days!

Are Swedish Fish From Sweden?

I got this question a lot when I first bought my bag of original swedish fish to Finland. The Finn’s thought it was funny just as they thought “Swedish Meatballs” were odd and not true. As we all know, Finns and Sweds have a country rivalry but thats nothing new. Honestly, Swedish Fish candy did originate from Sweden in 1958 and was imported to the USA during the 1960s and 1970s.

SourPatch Kids?

// January 10th, 2008 // 1 Comment » // Sour Candy

red sour patch kidsYes, I’m embarrassed to admit this because I always try new candies, but my brother actually introduced sour patch kids to me maybe 9 years ago. Usually, I inform him of new candies but this one he had me beat. My bro knew how much I loved sour candies. I normally would buy the glow worms sour gummies, but the sourpatch kids had them beat!

Why?

They just had more flavor and so much easier to chew. Hint Hint, my teeth :)

But seriously, sour patch kids have become by favorite and all thanks to my brother for that! I like a nice quick sour tang and thats what the SP’s give me! (more…)

Number of skittles in a bag

// January 10th, 2008 // No Comments » // Candy Addiction

skittles candy I thought that I’d start my first candy blog review with the very first candy that I remember eating and actually enjoying. That would be, the Rainbow of Fruit Flavors – Skittles. I wonder why I took such a big interest in eating skittles as a child. I believe the fruity colors caught my attention. I just love all colors and as an artist my pallet is always filled with the rainbow colors like Skittles.

Although, I wasn’t a big fruit eater, I liked the juicy taste of Skittles. Just knowing that I had a bag of skittles waiting for me, made me happy. Until, I was older and my brother became interested in Skittles, there were moments that we had to share. And of course as big sister, I counted fairly and divided the bag amongst us. One green for you, one green for me; Two reds for me, one red for you :) (more…)
