The gum actually did last longer than I expected! I wish I had another box!!! The company does have a fun website. It is all in Italian and in Flash so you won’t be able to use the Google translator to understand. There are more fruity and juicy looking gums so I would check out the website!

I’ve found that you can purchase these at Ebay.de (German local site) and online at Online Supermarket store website but the shipping takes 21 days and the price is expensive. Unless you’re going to do a lot of Germany candy shopping I would recommend checking out Ebay first!

They were good and I can imagine that all other flavors are as well!

The Legend of the Chocolate Clouds

Legend has it that there was a time when clouds weren’t made of water, rather chocolate. Beginning in December, it continues, people would start experiencing feelings of joy and happiness that grow stronger as the holiday season approaches. Without anybody even realizing, this sweet euphoria would then condensate and rise up into the sky forming a crunchy chocolate and almost delight. And, as it grew bigger and bigger, it would eventually turn into a wonderful chocolate cloud!

I actually did try a chocolate bar from the Chocolat Factory store with caramel and it was awesome. I love chocolate with caramel, ie. Twix! But  this was 10x better and soft. Check out more chocolates at the website: www.chocolatfactory.com

Thanks to the wonderful people at Confitelia.com for sending these candies! They were yummy! Although, I thought the candy would be from Spain, the brand Olympic is the manufacture of the Gelo candy is from Greece. They have been making candy since 1958 and have many types of candies. These can be purchased directly at Confitelia for only 2.80 euros. The bag was huge and worth the price I think. You can order candy to the U.S.A or pretty much any country. I’m happy I had a chance to review this website because there are candies and snacks that are amazing from Spain but I had to show you personally and this candy store online in Spain helps.

One birthday I was given a gift of candy & a cake (like always) but this candy was different because it was a marshmallow candy cake. At Confitelia you can see examples of candy cakes that are just amazing.

Before visiting Spain, I had never seen such a thing. But not only do you have marshmallow cakes but all sorts of objects like purses, sandwiches, flower bouquet and more. Check out the category.

A good friend of mine in Spain said these were her favorite candies as a kid. So of course, I had to see what was so good about it! I can see why, the flavor and the soft gummie candy is yummy. Although the bag I purchased seemed like lots of air, not enough because I went through it so fast after the video. I like that its individually wrapped but it probably shouldn’t be, because when you pop one in your mouth you’re ready for the second. Well.. that was in my case!

I enjoyed this candy a lot. I searched online for places where you can possibly purchase and it seems that one company does carry them in bulk size of 2 kilos which is about 4.5 pounds. The price is 14 euros which is about $22 plus of course shipping from Spain.  They are nice to try so maybe wait until you take a vacation trip to Spain or buy them online. If I find them in the USA I will update this post.

The Lacasitos were inspired by the very famous at that time M&M’s candy! They taste very similar but I admit from my memory M&M’s have a softer taste and chocolate covering isn’t as hard. M&M’s are easier to melt in your mouth.

Lacasitos are hard to find in the USA but if you ever take a trip to Spain than I recommend buying to try out. Maybe at Ebay you’ll find them..

I wasn’t a big licorice eater before I moved to Finland but with flavors like this raspberry how could anyone resist? My all time favorite Panda Licorice Chews or Sticks are banana and strawberry filled. However, I really like the all natural totally raspberry flavor.

You can buy these online or in a health foods store or probably even Wal-mart if you’re lucky! I prefer to buy from the Finnish Candy store SuomiKauppa (Finland Shop).

I’ve changed the size of the videos.. However, still not pleased with the outcome. Probably need to shop around for another cam..

As you noticed, I really liked the Muscat (Green Grape) gummies it was just like eating a grape Kasugai Gummy Candy from Japan! Really juicy center and it reminds me so much of the life savers but softer and a bit juicier.

I recently received an email asking about the candy taste for different countries worldwide. It is very curious of course, because every country and culture has their own taste and cravings.

I was wondering if you’ve ever researched what different cultures prefer when it comes to candy.  What peeked my interest in this is recently I came across a video of a lady from Finland decorating a birthday cake, and she was placing a lot of black licorice candy on top of the cake.  I read up on what people from Finland enjoy, and they eat a lot of black licorice….they even have a black licorice ice cream!  That is a flavor that Americans never seemed to have embraced much.  Do you know much about other cultures around the world?  Do you know anything about what people in Brazil like or how about Japan?  I would love to read any blog you might put out about this interesting topic!  Thanks for reading my letter!

From my research and living abroad for over ten years I’ve found out that the top candies for each country. I’ve lived in Finland and Spain. My story from living in Finland was very surprising as the email states about licorice. The Finns LOVE licorice for some reasons and its everywhere. They have licorice candy, ice cream, liquor and even tea. I even took a tour of the factory at the the biggest licorice maker Panda in Vaajakoski, Finland back in 2001. It was awesome because my best friends father worked there and we got first class tours and free candy of course! Panda is sold worldwide and very popular!

Now in Spain, things are a bit different. There is no particularly special candy but most people that I know have a weakness for chocolate. They eat many import chocolates and of course they love Chupa Chup which was the first original lollipop. For snacks many Spanish people eat chocolate sandwiches with a spread called Chocolate Nutella and I guess is almost equivalent to Americans eating peanut butter sandwiches. I don’t know HOW they do it but its popular among school kids and young adults.

The Amusement Park one of the three oldest in the world. Read the history and check out the website (Spanish/Catalan).

The first thing I spotted was this cute little trolly with Cotton Candy screaming my name!!

I walked by it three times before buying the cotton candy. It was a large amount for 3 euros. Even the candy apples looked yummy. But I’ve allergy problems when it comes to fresh apples. So, I had to pass it buy.

The park was nice if you’re in the Barcelona visiting. You can stroll the park free without paying in enjoy basic rides such as the Carrousel, The Airplane ride, Ferris Wheel and the musuem for a small 2 euro – 8 euro fee. If you want more attractions the price is about 25 euros!

As you can see the bulk box of strawberry candy drop capsules in the photo. The drops were soft and not like Tic Tacs which I compared them to in the video. The flavor was exactly fruity with a great strawberry twist.

Case of 18

The company that manufactures the Hit Candy is Nutrexpa out of Barcelona, Spain. I purchased them in a candy warehouse for about $5.00 for the bulk pack of 18. Anybody interested in getting the rest of the capsules?

Wow!! Have you ever seen this? I haven’t until over a week ago. I’ve been traveling again and I visited a candy factory in Spain and was very surprised about this canister of tennis gum balls! They are gum balls with the color, shape and design of a tennis ball. Even the texture looks about the same. The gum balls are liquid filled with lemon and lime flavors. I did not buy the canister but I should have, however I would have been the only one eating them. The canister contains 90 tennis gum balls. If you take a good luck the container is shaped just like a normal tennis ball canister. I’m a big big tennis fan and I love playing tennis in my free time so this just shocked me. I had never seen anything like this before in the USA.

After a little research I found out that the company is from Spain and creates all sorts of candy for sports like football (American soccer). Here is the website Fini. The website is in Spanish and French so go through a website translator like Google if you are having problems with the language.

Also, what I didn’t see at the store were individually wrapped tennis gum balls like I’ve found online which retail value is 0.05 euros. The canister of 90 gum balls were retail valued at 17.82 however in the store and online I’ve seen it price as low as 14.00euros.

This is a great idea and it would be great for any tennis coach to get their players motivated or rewarded before or after a match. Candy is always fun. Also as a fundraiser as well selling the individual packages could deem rewarding!

Because I like winegums I had to try the Maynards Sours. They were great and really sour. As I mentioned I was very surprised. I was expecting a very low level of sourness! I have seen them sold online at Ebay.com from sellers in the USA and Canada. So if you’re into wine gum’s you should give it a try. The price of the bag of 170g is almost $5.00 so its not cheap because it is an import candy!

Chupa Chups are great lollipops in general and if you have to eat sugar free candy because of your health or diet than they aren’t too bad. But because I love sugar so much I did not taste much. It had the flavor almost of the Halls Citric flavor but not as strong. The best thing about the candy is the cigarette shaped box!

These are hard to find in the USA but some online shops make it available. Its a neat way to distribute the mini lollipops! Chupa Chups are from and made in Spain! Check out their website and by the way, they are celebrating 50 years of the candy! WOW!!

The Aakkoset (Alphabet) Fruit gummies were really tasty and soft. Although the flavors were not that distinctive, it was enjoyable. The bag that I reviewed is actually a Super Mix of 315 grams and the price is different than stated on the video. The price is 3.50 euros which converts to almost $4.00.

The company is Leaf and the candy is made in Finland. If you visit the company website you will see a list of those candies. However, to purchase a bag for yourself there is a Finnish company which will send all types of candy and other goods from Finland at fairly good prices: Suomi Kauppa

I tried to spell out “Love Candy” but there weren’t any “D’s” in the bag. Unless I ate them first! So I managed to spell out “Love Sweets”!
