Lindt Gold Bunnies

// March 31st, 2009 // No Comments » // Candy News, Candy Video Review, chocolate candy, Easter Candy, Gummy

Easter is right around the corner and today is Candy Tuesday! I hope you like the review!

The Lindt Easter Bunny has been around for many years! I did not realize the history behind the story until now. The first Lindt Gold Bunny was created in March 1952 and it has held a great tradition ever since. The bunny is made from soft milk Lindt chocolate and is wrapped with a gold color foil. The tradition is that the bunny is wrapped in gold with a red tie around the neck!

The month of March 2007 during the bunny’s 55 Aniversary was celebrated as Lindt Chocolate Day. Large gold bunny sculptures were made and decorations. All of which I had no idea! These bunnies are not so easy to find. Even after checking Ebay, I’ve only seen them in a couple of stores and especially from Europe!

Read more about the making of the gold bunny at the Lindt Gold Bunny Website. Also, if you’re interested you can send a Easter Card free from the site as well. They are very well designed, plus you can add your own photo. That normally at places like Hallmark is no less than $1.99 to send. So take advantage!!

Apologizes and Updates

// February 11th, 2009 // No Comments » // Candy News

Well, if you have seen changes on my blog back and forth is due to my hosting (which sucks). I’m currently moving and changing host after being a customer for the past 5 years. On February 1st, I posted the new winner and no one replied. I’m not sure if it was due to the website not showing the post which was made and actually commented. Later, due to my hosting server issues, the post was lost. I was really looking forward to giving the winner candy but no one responded and I’m not sure if it was due to the server.

However, if you were subscribed to Feedburner, the winner is still listed and I was able to copy and paste the post as you can now see listed on the site. So if someone could claim they are the winner I will get the candy out asap. If no one responds by Friday I will post a new winner. PLEASE!!

Candy Recall

// September 29th, 2008 // No Comments » // Candy News

Wow! Cadbury Candy had to recall candy made in China due to a chemical scare.The company based in Great Britain recalled its candy because they think it may be contaminated by the chemical melamine. It’s great that the company has thorough quality checks for the safety of its company and candy. In China, almost 53,000 children in China have been sickened by the formula or other products containing melamine.Therefore Cadbury took measures to secure that their chocolates would be safe to eat.
