Very Sweet Services

// August 5th, 2008 // 1 Comment » // Candy Video Review, Weird Candy

Yet again, another edition of Candy Tuesdays!!! Today I have a fun review, so hopefully you’ll enjoy so sit back.

As I mentioned in the video Sweet Services and SouthWestCandy sell bulk candy and lots of hard candy. I’m not a big fan of hard candy so I gave those samples to my mom. She loved them by the way, but I guess I’m too impatient!

The sample bag contained some of the following yummy candies:

  • Sweetarts
  • Chupa Chups
  • Super Bubble
  • Laffy Taffy
  • Smarties
  • Sour Patch Kids (favorite)
  • Swedish Fish
  • Soft Mint Candy
  • Hard Candy
  • Lollipops

Sweet Services has been around since 1970 and they are a well established candy wholesale company with a lot to offer at very good bulk prices. There is a local candy factory only two minutes from my house, so I KNOW! I can also vouch for the services, candy and fast delivery if you’re curious about purchasing from them. They have a fun candy blog and also hold monthly customer contest! Check out the websites and enjoy!

Weird Candy

weird candyI’m one for trying out different types of candy, well mostly non chocolate. Most of my friends are chocolate lovers, so whenever I go out shopping with them, they find it weird that I buy FUN Candy :) . I like weird sour candy, candy that looks bad from the candy paper wrapper and candy from countries outside the U.S.A.

I like to broaden my candy horizons if you know what I mean. Therefore, I’ll be reviewing more candy outside the US and let you know where it can be purchased or if you decide to visit that country, of course it will be easy to find and buy!

Chocolate Critters

chocolate crittersToday is Valentines Day and usually this day is filled with a lot of chocolate gifts candy! A hot chocolate candy over in Japan that is making noise over here are Chocolate Critters that are shaped into bugs and worms. I’m not sure if this is considered a sign of LOVE but if you’re in for a good laugh, then you should buy them. People have traveled in Japan by car over an hour just to buy the Chocolate Critters because they were sold out elsewhere.

On Valentines Day in Japan the big thing is chocolate however with a twist. Valentines Candy which are uncover as a fruit or non chocolate is actually filled with chocolate. Strawberries which are usually red, have the outside coating of a strawberry flavor but once you take that bite, theres nothing strawberry about it!

The reason behind all of this is that on Valentines Day in Japan, the tradition is for the woman to buy men a gift!! (more…)
